Lulzim Basha and Monika Kryemadhi, chairpersons of the Democratic Party (PD) and the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) respectively, signed today a coalition agreement of 13 points that will help the country out of the crisis once the opposition wins the elections and forms the government after April 25.

The 13 pointes of the agreement signed by Basha and Kryemadhi are as following:

1. Helping the country to get out of the severe economic crisis caused by the clientelist government, which collaborates with the oligarchy and crime.

2. Meeting all conditions for opening accession negotiations with the European Union and removing any obstacle created by the current government.

3. Restoring the Rule of Law, stop state capture, restoring accountability, ending the flagrant abuse and violation of the Constitution and the Law, ending the impunity of public officials and destructive phenomena such as corruption and usurpation of power for personal benefits and interests.

4. Performing intensive government action to curb mass depopulation.

5. Prioritizing the creation of well-paid job opportunities, as the main way to improve the lives of the Albanian citizens.

6. Implementation of a governance program with a priority on the youth.

7. Guarantee of equal opportunities for the representation of women in decision-making, for their emancipation and empowerment in society and policy-making.

8. Carrying out an uncompromising fight against organized crime, trafficking of all kinds and money laundering, as the main obstacles to the development of the country and the public safety of citizens.

9. Prioritizing post-earthquake reconstruction program.

10. Ending the critical problem of the COVID-19 pandemic, by implementing a health-social plan, to contain the spread of the virus, carry out tests, tracing and medical treatments, reimbursement of expenses for COVID-19 patients, mass vaccination of the population.

11. Development of culture and sports.

12. Protect the cultural heritage and end its damage, alienation and destruction.

13. Guarantee the restitution of property to the religious communities in the country.
