Socialist deputy Ulsi Manja said today the vetting process will not be a condition for the election of the interim General Prosecutor. While the race has opened two days ago and the deadline for the submission of the participation forms is December 12, Manja spoke about respecting the legal criteria for the candidates.

He highlighted the 15-year experience of the candidates or the qualification degrees. Asked whether the General Prosecutor should submit to the vetting process, Manja answered with another question: Did (General Prosecutor) Adriatik Llalla pass the vetting?

One can only ask whether the vetting process is really so unimportant in such a situation. It is not understood if the indifferent attitude of the Socialist MP is backed by the US and EU Ambassadors who invested everything for the approval of the Judiciary Reform – vetting process included – one year ago.
