Democrat members of the parliamentary Committee of Integration have required explanations why Premier Edi Rama excluded the opposition from annual meeting of the Albania – EU Stabilization and Association Council. Deputy Genc Pollo said the opposition must be a part of the country’s integrating processes.

It was a tradition started from 2011 when the Democratic Party government included the then-chairman of the parliamentary committee for EU integration Ditmir Bushati in the meeting of that year, creating the positive precedent.

The tradition broke on November 14 this year, when Rama’s government showed in Brussels only with Ditmir Bushati, nor Foreign Minister, but without the opposition.

Chairman of the parliamentary committee for EU integration Genc Pollo was not invited.
