Cannabis cultivation and drugs traffic cost the job to 29 directors in the State Police and in the counties’ departments. The Interior Ministry has made public the names and reasons for the dismissal of a good part of the police officers it returned to duty in 2013.
Through a press release, the State Police say that the movements have been made for a better electoral campaign and because the fired directors did not fight cannabis cultivation in the country.
“The State Police is engaged in successfully fulfilling a number of important priorities, like ensuring free and fair elections in accordance with the Electoral Code; fight on organized crime, terrorism and illicit traffics; consolidation of the State Police structures through increasing integrity and professional capability of the police effectives and a better management of them; fulfilling the duties related to the new touristic season”, says the press release of the State police.
