Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha accused Premier Edi Rama that by offering a sea port to NATO he is trying to cover the scandal of the port of Durrës and shell companies that has passed it through their hands.

Berisha welcomed the clear attitude of NATO’s Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg for not beiong affected by Rama’s words.

“I’d like to salute cordially Secretary General  Stoltenberg for not buying Rama’s unscrupulous proposal who – aiming to cover the terrible affair with EMAAR of appropriating 1 million square meters in the port of Durrës – tries to hide it with NATO’s engaging in Porto Romano”, Berisha said in the parliament today. “Rama’s proposal is a mega-scandal, trying to misuse the extraordinary reputation of the Alliance for his corruptive intentions”.

“I had the pleasure to notice in the press conference that despite Rama’s praising the grand port that will be built, the Secretary General pretended not to have listened and spoke about Albania’s role in the Balkans.
