The Socialist majority in the Albanian parliament rejected two requests of the Democratic Party in the Conference of the Chairpersons, for the strategic investments and for a Resolution to condemn the Serbian genocide in Srebrenica. Democrat MP Jorida Tabaku said the government fears the investigations over the corruptive legislation, while Tritan Shehu said the blocking of the Resolution on Srebrenica was a serious and unacceptable act.

Democrat MP Shehu added all the parliaments in the region have approved the Resolution.

The chairman of the Socialist parliamentary group responded saying there’s no need for being protagonists since Albania has condemned the genocide in Srebrenica already.
