Former disgraced chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha visited Shkodra one day after Sali Berisha and Democrat MPs paid homage to the four martyrs of democracy that were murdered by the state police during a demonstration against regime on April 2, 1991.

Basha visited the north city for a lunch with supporters and close associates, including former chairman of the local branch of the party and the defeated candidate in the March 6 mayoral by-election Xhemal Bushati.

None of the Democratic Party MPs from the county of Shkodra was present in Basha’s meeting after they escorted Berisha in the homage of the previous day for the martyrs of democracy.
