Albanian President Ilir Meta called former Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha a traitor and said he betrayed the opposition in collusion with the government.

Speaking to the television A2, Meta said “Lulzim Basha has got used to taking gifts. He is extremely spoiled and totally out of the reality. His political end is clear”.

"Lulzim Basha betrayed all the opposition causes in full collusion with the government. Anyone can use a traitor, but no one loves them”, said Meta.

The President added Basha could never become a leader.

"Basha a leader? How can one call a leader someone that armors his party headquarters and has his activities organized by the Rapid Reaction Forces”, Meta asked.
