Former President of Albania Bujar Nishani condemned the violence against the Democrat protesters today, saying Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Director General of the State Police have committed a constitutional and criminal offense. Nishani stressed the Democrats will not allow Edi Rama to impose the opposition chairman on them.

“Edi Rama and the Director General of State Police have committed a serious constitutional and criminal offense today. The barbarian violation of the Democratic Party headquarters and thousands of its members, gathered in their headquarters, is an extreme violence on the fundamental political freedoms and rights of the Albanian citizens”, Nishani wrote.

“Lulzim Basha’s tutor used all the fury and cruelty of the state’s force to impose the opposition chairman on Albanians. This will never be accepted! We will never let go of pluralism. The tutor of the organized crime and mobster state in Albania won’t be able to become the Albanian opposition’s tutor too. Freedom has no price”.
