Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha has denounced the removal of licenses for 100 recycling companies in Tirana, saying it is a clear attempt of Premier Edi Rama, Mayor Erion Veliaj and Minister of Energy Damian Gjiknuri to take under their control the whole waste recycling and processing for the capital.
“The owner of the incinerators of Tirana, Elbasan and Fier has taken under administration the recycling of waste in the Municipality of Tirana”, Basha told media reporters today.
“The incineration, burying and collecting the waste are in the hands of Rama, Gjiknuri and Veliaj. Albania exports drugs and will import garbage. They are building incinerators to process Italy’s waste as well”.
Basha said it is the same scheme that has occurred for the hazard games and cannabis, which were fought before only with the intention to become under their control later.
