Former Premier Sali Berisha has appealed the Albanian government to declare the state of emergence because the situation has aggravated after torrent rains in the whole country.
Berisha also appealed President Ilir Meta to summon the Council of the National Security.
“The state of emergence must be declared immediately to face this situation that may become catastrophic”, Berisha writes, accusing Premier Rama, whom he calls after former Panama President Noriega, of doing nothing, only to avoid state’s obligations to the citizens.
“Not declaring the state of emergence is an irresponsible and anti-constitutional act of Noriega. I invite the President of the Republic, considering the irresponsibility of the head of the executive, to summon the Council of the National Security”.
