Director General of the State Police Haki Çako admited the police failure concerning its implication in the cannabis traffic. Çako said many effectives have been involved in the traffic, with many cases kept hidden from the public.
“51 police effectives have been investigated and verified, 14 have been arrested or expelled from the force, while a considerable number of them have been punished with disciplinary measures”, Çako said.
The Director General said he is convinced this year will have the lowest number of the narcotic plants. Commenting the figures, Çako said the cultivation of cannabis this year has been lower than ever.
