Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha warned Albanian Premier Edi Rama he will have the same fate of his collaborator Charles McGonigal.

Addressing to the parliament in the motion with debate over Rama’s McGonigal affair, Berisha said the former FBI official is a traitor to his country and deserved what came to him, and the same thing will happen to Rama too.

“Here in the parliament, you made circulate the deception there are 152 blacklisted persons from Albania. What did you do with that? You only created the round of extortions that the Rama-McGonigal team imposed through Neza and Duçka”, said Berisha.

“That's why I say: stop manipulating Albanian-US relations. Albanians should know that they, together with (US Ambassador) Yuri Kim, announced the departure of the US Ambassador, with the sole intention of extending her stay in Albania. We share friendship and extraordinary values with the United States, and those who manipulate these relations are the greatest enemies of these relations. The day will come when the last Albanian too will learn what kind of person you are, what a dangerous mobster you are, that you have no other interest other than your own enrichment”.

“McGonigal went where he deserves as a traitor to his nation. I am sure that you will also go where you deserve as a traitor to democracy. Therefore, I demand at all costs the creation of an investigative commission with the Constitutional right” said Berisha.
