Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of intending to demolish 96,000 homes in residential buildings in Tirana and steal their construction land to give it to development companies connected to him. Berisha made the accusation after the latest decision of the government for the creation of a commission of experts that will reassess the buildings over 50 years old and the ones that will be considered in danger of falling down in case of earthquakes will be demolished.

Berisha invited the citizens to participate in the March 3 protest and called for civil disobedience to topple Rama’s government.
