Freedom Party Chairman Ilir Meta said today the Albanian people will not allow a bad-blooded person like Edi Rama to be their Prime Minister as he is the main cause of the honest and hard working Albanians’ misery. The former President expressed his belief people will join the opposition protest in the capital Tirana tomorrow to demand accountability from Rama.

“Edi Rama knows better than anyone he cannot avoid accountability, as the people of Albania will not allow anyone to play with their fate. Edi Rama's desperate hiding for weeks and avoiding accountability and transparency in front of parliament in the forlorn hope that he can get over the situation are just the illusion of a drowning man clinging to a thread”, Meta said in a press conference.

“The people can never allow the Prime Minister s office to be used for political and financial corruption without restraint, instead of giving solutions to Albanians to fight poverty and unemployment. The people can never allow the Prime Minister’s office to produce only misery, which depopulates the country by driving hundreds of thousands of Albanians, and especially young people, from their homeland”.

“The people have decided that Edi Rama should leave as soon as possible as a mobster already proven by facts and as a corrupt person who has nothing to do with the position and the constitutional institution of the Prime Minister. Edi Rama is today proven by facts as the corrupter of McGonigal, as the robber of hundreds of millions of Euros with the waste incinerators, of billions of Euros at the Port of Durrës, in concessions, in hundreds of secret tenders, as the destroyer of the National Theater and as the head of hundreds of affairs with electricity, water supply, the alienation of the properties of Albanian citizens and everything”.
