The Albanian government has violated Western sanctions against Russia as shipment of liquid gas aboard the Russian ship Alkaid has been cleared at the customs in the Albanian harbor of Porto Romano.

Documents obtained by Syri TV show that the Albanian authorities allowed the clearance of 11,000 cubic meters of liquid gas destined for the Albanian market. Alkaid docked in Porto Romano on October 6, 2022 and the shipment was cleared on October 26.

The shipment of the liquid gas from the port of Ust Luga near Saint Petersburg in Russia belonged to Sibur, a Russian company sanctioned by the West.

This is another scandal of Edi Rama’s government that violates openly the sanctions imposed on Russia and its products.

Rama has been caught in the act in his plan to take Albania further away from its European path by siding with the countries that sponsor Russia’s war in Ukraine.
