The Parliament of Albania has received the official request from the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) for the arrest of the Socialist Party MP Alqi Bllako.

Bllako is accused of abuse of office in relation to the contract of the waste incinerator of Fier.

The parliamentary Council of Mandates will gather on Wednesday to decide whether they’ll allow Bllako’s arrest and his remand in custody.
