The Albanian citizens protesting in Tirana against the soaring prices of food and fuel have announced they plan to for 24 hours outside the prime ministry.

The organizers said they’ll expect the government to fulfill the five requests they made a few days ago, which are:

1. Lift of the tax of circulation and suspension of the fiscal burden on the fuel prices.

2. Suspension of VAT on the basic items.

3. Expansion of the compensation scheme and support for the farmers,

4. A real aid package for the retired and families with economic aid to overcome the crisis.

5. Investigation and monitoring of the concessions and economic operators that affect arbitrarily on the prices, especially in the fuels sector.
