Albanian President Ilir Meta reacted after the Russian invasion against Ukraine, saying the Albanian people stands by the side of the Ukrainian people.

"Albania condemns Russia’s unjustified attack against Ukraine, violating the international law and threatening the lives of innocent civilians”, Meta said.

“We appeal to Russia to withdraw from military actions against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. Albania stands by the side of Ukraine and its people in this dark hour”.
