Members of the Committee for the Re-foundation of the Albanian Democratic Party went to the party headquarters today to find it locked and armored.

Democrat MP and former Minister of the Interior Flamur Noka tried unsuccessfully to open the doors, saying Basha is self-imprisoned and has turned the Democratic Party offices into an Alcatraz prison.

“We, a group of MPs, members of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, came to the party headquarters, our home, for a meeting about our agenda in the parliament during 2022”, Noka told media reporters.

“Painfully, we saw that the House of Freedom which should have been a vivid place where all Democrats find themselves, has been changed into a modern Alcatraz by Edi Rama and his hostage (dismissed chairman Luzim Basha – Syri). As you could see, everything is locked and armored, as if the Democratic Party building is a high security prison. Rama may imprison his hostage but he could never imprison the Democrats’ free spirit”.
