Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha published a video on his Facebook page from his meeting in Korça where he explained why his close family and he were banned from entering the United States. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken motivated his decision with “significant corruption” on Berisha’s part, which consequently led to his expulsion from the Democratic Party parliamentary group with a personal decision of Chairman Lulzim Basha, but contested by the party base.

“I was declared non grata because I requested the declaration non grata of George Soros, an sworn enemy of the conservative forces in Albania and in the world”, Berisha wrote in the caption to the video.
