The Albanian Constitutional Court has announced it will review the Parliament’s Decision for the discharge of President Ilir Meta.

On June 9, 2021, the Albanian Parliament voted for the discharge of the Head of State.

“The Court has considered the case in accordance with the procedural deadlines provided in its organic law and the Rules of Procedure, while its activity for reviewing all cases has been suspended for the period 1 August 2021 until 10 September 2021, which coincides with the annual leave of judges”, the Constitutional Court said in its announcement.
