Half of Democratic Party voters prefer former chairman Sali Berisha as their leader instead of the incumbent chairman Lulzim Basha, according to the latest poll conducted by Euronews Albania.

Lulzim Basha has the support of only 1/3 of the Democrat voters.

49.5% of them would vote Sali Berisha as the party chairman, 34.6% prefer to continue with Basha, whereas 8.3% think the party needs a new chairperson.

Almost half of the voters think expelling Berisha from the Democrat parliamentary group does not help the party to come to power sooner. Only 22% think Basha’s decision would help the Democratic party win the elections.
