President of Forum of European People’s Parties Women Doris Pack said from Kukës that Albania must react against the governance criminalization and the miserable conditions more than half of the population lives in.

Ms. Pack said she was “disappointed for the situation in Albania, after receiving the status of candidate country thanks to the reforms of the previous government. I can’t imagine how individuals who have been judged for criminal charges in European courts are in the Parliament. Criminals’ presence in the parliament has never happened in any other country. No party should allow such people. Imagine Albanians who vote for these people, this must be stopped.  Judiciary system today is not independent”.

She spoke also for the cannabis cultivation, calling it a shame, adding parents must be worried for their children’s future.

“I do not blame people, but the government which gives them no possibility to make their living. If I lived in Albania, I would be afraid for my children’s future, while the drugs are frightening”, Pack said.

She criticized Premier Edi Rama for the dismissal of Minister of Justice Ylli Manjani, who made serious accusations against the government.

“If one listens to the former minister of justice, they learn a lot. I don’t understand how this government still manages to exist. Had I been a party chair and have a minister in this situation, I’d know pretty well what to do. He was the minister of Justice in this government and he knew what he was saying. And, if the only reaction from Premier Rama was firing the minister, this is not the right way in a democratic system”.
