Minister of State for Relations with Parliament Elisa Spiropali declared on Çim Peka Live on Syri TV that the intercepted conversations in Italy offer no evidence of any violation in Albania. The mobsters intercepted by the Italian anti-mafia authorities revealed their plans to invest in constructions in Tirana, hoping to receive permits through bribes to high officials, Mayor Erion Veliaj included.
But Spiropali the surveyed persons are delirious, disregarding the fact they are exponents of a dangerous mob organization.
“Italian businessmen that claim to know someone in Albania are delirious”, Spiropali said.
Peka said she was being too courageous to defend a scandal like that of top Albanian official links with ‘ndrangheta.
