The Albanian government is sabotaging the very first agreement that was reached in the Political Council for the electoral reform for the electronic voting and counting for the new general elections, scheduled for April 25 2021.

A foreign expert would be hired to consult the Central Electoral Commission (KQZ) to set the level of extension in the national territory and see the possibility of a 100% implementation.

Regardless of the elections day approaching, there is no movement in this direction and KQZ hasn’t received yet the necessary fund from the government.

After a long wait, KQZ sent a letter to the Parliament of Albania and the Council of the Ministers, reminding them that according to the June 5 agreement it is necessary to allocate the fund for the quick implementation of the project.

KQZ chairman Ilirjan Celibashi warned that the deadline for the realization of the project is approaching.

Earlier, the opposition raised the concern that Rama’s government is delaying and sabotaging the biometric identification of the voters, and the electronic voting and counting for the coming elections.

Zgjedhjet e lira nuk jane prioritet per qeverine e hajduteve, prandaj nuk jepet asnje lek. Leket i kane per vete dhe per oligarket.
