The opposition says Rama cannot justify his luxury mansion with his and his wife’s income

The Democratic Party (PD) has published official proof that Albanian Premier Edi Rama has lied about his wealth from the very first day he took the office.

Democrat MP Oriola Pampuri said “the chief of the Albanian government cannot even justify the money he built his mansion with. This is an offence that leads to jail”.

“Edi Rama can no longer lie the citizens that the built the mansion in Surrel with his wife’s savings”, Pampuri said. “The facts are black on white in his wealth statement. The couple does not have enough income to justify the construction of a luxury mansion worth 40 million Lek (nearly €320 thousand). Official documents prove that Rama’s and his wife’s income do not pass over 10 million Lek and they cannot justify the value of their mansion”.

Ms. Pampuri repeated the call to Premier Rama to not hide behind his wife and take full responsibility for his actions.
