Berisha: The Democratic Party calls for the largest national protest Albania has ever witnessed, on February 8 at 5:00 PM

The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, addressed the allegations made by Arben Ahmetaj in an interview with SYRI TV. According to Berisha, “Arben Ahmetaj once again exposed Edi Rama as the architect of the greatest crime in the country’s history—the cannabization of Albania.”

In his media statement, the Democratic leader commented on Arben Ahmetaj’s interview, saying, "Another disturbing aspect revealed in Ahmetaj’s interview was the unchecked luxury that Edi Rama, a ruthless vagabond towards Albanians, and his family enjoyed."

The Chairman of the Democratic Party also announced that following the revelation of new scandalous information about the lavish lifestyle and criminal actions of Edi Rama, Belinda Balluku, and other government officials, the opposition would organize a national protest on February 8. During his comments on Ahmetaj’s interview, Berisha praised Ahmetaj’s bravery. "I believe Arben Ahmetaj spoke with great courage," the Democratic leader remarked.

In response to news from Israel suggesting that 100,000 Palestinians might be relocated to Albania, the Chairman of the Democratic Party stated that Albania does not have the capacity to accommodate them, citing the lack of an effective government in the country.

"Albania has no capacity to host Palestinians, I say this with full conviction, based on past experiences," Berisha stated during his address to the media.

FULL STATEMENT:

Despite the extraordinary efforts of the narco-state and its controlled media, which censor the interview of the former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, I emphasize that this interview is among the most extraordinary in the history of a state.

For the truth, or the verification of the truth of the opposition's accusations against Edi Rama, and the great truth with documents, verification by the former closest collaborator, number two for years in the Albanian government, now persecuted, a refugee in Switzerland, Arben Ahmetaj.

Arben Ahmetaj once again proved to Albanians that Edi Rama is not a prime minister but a boss, a padrino, the head of a genuine criminal organization.

And wherever he goes, he travels not as the Prime Minister of Albania but as the head of a criminal organization, the most dangerous in the history of this country, the region, and Europe.

Arben Ahmetaj once again stripped bare Edi Rama as the architect of the greatest crime that could have occurred in the history of the country, the cannabization of Albania.

And that in the government meeting, this strategy was opposed by him and four other ministers. However, Edi Rama was unstoppable, he came from crime, and only crime could be sown in this country.

Arben Ahmetaj proved, or showed Albanians why Erion Veliaj is free despite signing the incinerator not for Shkodra or Vlora but for Tirana, where he is the mayor.

He, the man with full knowledge of this affair, Erion Veliaj, signed the incinerator under the strong order and pressure of Edi Rama, stating that these two are the real owners of a facility that cost 130 million euros and does not exist even in its foundations.

And they have made Taulant Tusha and a Simixhiu responsible for this, in the most ridiculous and immoral way, and have issued an arrest warrant for Arben Ahmetaj, who opposed it. Five times he has been against it, and with Arben Ahmetaj, Edi Rama chose to cover up his shameful crime and the great theft with the incinerators, a theft that is unique in the entire history of this state and this country.

A theft that is covered up in the most criminal way by Altin Lala and another criminal organization of Skrapari.

Beyond any standard, beyond any criterion, law, or practice.

Arben Ahmetaj, with great civic courage, under extraordinary pressure from the gangs of the narco-state in his prisons, proved to Albanians that Rama's thefts with Belinda Balluku, just with some of the projects, exceed twice the damages of the earthquake that passed.

That Edi Rama and Belinda Balluku have treated 12 billion euros in public works as if they were private, which do not cost even a tenth of their price.

Arben Ahmetaj, in his autopsy of the regime, of Edi Rama, the head of the criminal organization, informed Albanians that only with the bribes paid to Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj by construction companies, forced to deposit them wherever Edi Rama wants, these two thieves have gained over 70 million euros.

Something that does not exist at all in the incinerator contract, so they are separate from the 130 million euros.

Unimaginable are the thefts of Edi Rama in his AKSHI, where the brother-in-law spends 77,000 euros and earns 20-30 times more. Of course, with the big brother-in-law.

He calls AKSHI the private garden of Edi Rama, where he steals, where his brother-in-law wins with dozens of tenders, imports computers at ten times the price, extracting documents before you, citizens, from taxes.

He is a true monster, whom has taken tens of millions for the insurance of vehicles and recently took SPAK for cybersecurity.

And that two arrest warrants that were signed, apparently for the director and the brother-in-law, were torn up, and the theft continues uninterrupted.

What was another ugly dimension of this regime in Arben Ahmetaj's interview was the unrestrained life of luxury that Edi Rama, as a merciless vagabond towards Albanians, led himself and his family.

When I had previously read from a journalist that he was declaring this and that with a bottle of Romano Conti in front of him, forgive me, journalist, but I called this a decoration by him, an embellishment.

But Arben Ahmetaj brought evidence that not one bottle, but the most expensive bottles of wine known as one of the three legendary French wines. A Wine that costs 33,000 euros.

When he sits at the table in that flower restaurant in the Prime Minister's office, in a lunch of 200 pensions or 33 Nusret steaks that Belinda devoured in Dubai.

I can assure you, there isn't a single Prime Minister in the world who would use such an expensive wine in a government institution. Absolutely not.

This is only used by a mafia boss, a padrino, to whom citizens seem like Lilliputians, people without any value, not to say nonexistent, who sees nothing of their troubles and problems.

The unrestrained life of luxury was denounced with concrete facts.

10,000 euros, paid by those who built the building, indebted to this criminal, were used to cover expenses in the most luxurious hotels in Bolzano, specifically for his detox treatments."

He snorts cocaine and then goes to save his body there.

Is there a more shameful crime than this?

It's not just these. 17 charters were paid by Edi Rama to an oligarch for his travels.

We have denounced that only with his Ismail in Air Albania, in 140 trips, he spent 21 million euros.

Arben Ahmetaj showed the company's balance sheets, for which he said it was cheaper for him, but in fact, his Ismail dug the company's grave, bankrupted it.

We have repeatedly brought to your attention the massive theft involving the Llogara Tunnel project.

Arben Ahmetaj was a witness to the corrupt deal in which Rama and Balluku pocketed 50 million euros by dictating to the Turkish company what offer to submit. They explicitly stated, referring to Gjoka, ‘You will present it for 130 million euros,’ which is 50 million euros less than what taxpayers are made to pay.

This is an extremely blatant case of theft on a massive scale, which Arben Ahmetaj himself referred to using the term ‘5B.’

There's a reason I’ve referred to Lubi Balluku, she embodies an unstoppable thief with an insatiable thirst for stealing at every opportunity.

I will never forget when, as director of Albkontrol, she spent 220,000 euros just on her office.

She is a despised example of what a woman should never become. Never.

Of course, when Edi Rama himself opens a bottle of wine worth 33,000 euros, when he attends detox centers costing 10,000 euros a week alongside his spouse, when he spends 20 million euros on private jet travel, or when he purchases a vase for 5 million euros like a sheikh or sultan, the plight of the sick does not cross his radar. He has no capacity for empathy. He is utterly soulless.

I won’t delve further into this, but Edi Rama, with his indifference toward the suffering in the Oncological Hospital, has demonstrated the most extreme form of personal cruelty, evil that no normal person could ever exhibit.

Arben Ahmetaj, through documented evidence from the Metamorphosis files, presented Albanians with undeniable proof that the four major projects were stolen by Edi Rama. However, as Lubi Balluku so casually remarks, "We don't worry about Altin Dumani." Instead, she shifts focus to Altin Lala, portraying him as just another obedient servant of Ymer Lala.

The detailed exposé conducted by the former Deputy Prime Minister, now in exile, demonstrates tremendous courage in the face of ongoing threats to both his life and the safety of his family. This should serve as a wake-up call to all Albanians. Every day that Edi Rama, this capo dei capi, continues to lead, along with his criminal network, is a daily punishment inflicted upon the citizens of Albania and the nation itself.

The Democratic Party, which has long advocated for civil disobedience as the only effective method to resist this regime, calls for the most powerful national protest Albania has ever witnessed on February 8.

To express absolute disagreement with this gang of criminals who disregard every rule, every sense of morality.

Who are working tirelessly to create an Albania without opposition.

Who believe that the more they steal, the more votes they will get.

Who think that the more they humiliate Albanians, the more they will be supported.

Who imagine that the more they intimidate Albanians, the stronger their grip on power becomes.

Albanians will unite and rise in a massive protest unlike anything the country has ever witnessed before.

Therefore, I invite all Albanian citizens on Saturday, February 8, to join in Tirana. Let all of Albania gather in the capital, and let all of Tirana fill the squares and streets in protest against this regime, which has inflicted the greatest harm upon Albanians and Albania in our history.

Thank you!

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS WITH JOURNALISTS:

Osman Stafa, News24: Could you provide more details about the protest? Will it involve civil disobedience, or will it be held in front of the Prime Minister's office? What time will it start?

Sali Berisha: All details, including the time of the protest, will be announced very soon. But rest assured, Saturday is the day when Albanians will descend upon Tirana, and Tirana will fill its squares and streets with the voice of the people.

Osman Stafa, News24: Do you have a message for Arben Ahmetaj, asking him to become a repentant of justice in Albania? Has your attitude toward him changed, given you’ve called him corrupt?

Sali Berisha: Arben Ahmetaj is in danger, wherever he is. Teams have been sent to study everything about him in detail. I cannot ask Arben Ahmetaj to return to Albania. As for the evidence, it is laughable.

Tell me, what evidence is missing for Erion Veliaj and the 130 million euro incinerator that doesn't exist? There’s no trace, no name, no sign of it anywhere.

What evidence is missing for Edi Rama, who granted an 8-point advantage to the company constructing the Tirana incinerator, at a time when the company didn’t even exist?

What evidence is missing to SKAP, regarding Armando Fangu, the brother-in-law of Linda Basha and Edi Rama, when he signed an arrest warrant and was later forced to tear it up?

What evidence is needed for Belinda Balluku, whose director’s phone contained dozens of documents and evidence of corruption?

What more evidence is needed for Edi Rama, who appeared with rusty pliers and broken scissors for the sterilization concession? And for the disappearance of Vilma Nushi from the parliamentary investigation commission?

He would do a ridiculous act, to whom to testify, a criminal who heads the SKAP of the party and who hides every crime of Edi Rama, becomes a shield for his crimes?

How can he testify before Altin Lala?

What evidence does he want for the involvement of Edi Rama's family in Porto Romano when there are documents?

I believe Arben Ahmetaj spoke with great courage.

He presented the documents he had, based on tax invoices, showing how the computers imported by the brother-in-law were declared at customs at ten times the market price.

But the money, of course, was taken by Edi Rama.

I believe his service is exceptional, and I commend him for it.

I am not his lawyer, you know I’ve attacked him many times, and he himself said that last night. However, there is one thing: Arben Ahmetaj, in three interviews, has exposed, with undeniable facts and documents, the corruption and crimes of Edi Rama and his narco-government. Yet, until today, neither I nor you have seen a single document, a single signature from Arben Ahmetaj regarding this tender or that one.

I am not a lawyer, but we must be transparent.

We all believed that Arben Ahmetaj stole from the reconstruction funds in sacks, but it turns out he didn't handle a single tender himself, he left them to the mayors, and for that, he deserves praise.

Here it is. He may have administered perhaps 1.5 billion, but he implemented the standard, not of Edi Rama. If he wanted, he could have carried out all the tenders from his ministry. None of that happened; this is how it should be. He implemented the laws.

Regarding the plot for the embassy in New York, the bazaars of Edi Rama, he says the embassy plot isn't being given.

So, he has provided very significant services, and under no circumstances would I advise him to testify before criminals who close files and tear up arrest warrants.

Osman Stafa, News24: Yesterday, Israeli media reported that approximately 100,000 Palestinians might be brought to Albania at the request of President Donald Trump to the Albanian government. This news was later dismissed as false. What is your opinion on this matter?

Sali Berisha: Albania has no capacity to handle such a situation, and I say this with full conviction, based on past experience. Here, there is no functioning state, what we have is a narco-state, and a narco-state directs all its resources towards crime, crime, and more crime.

Look at what happened to those who opposed us. The data was sent to the Ayatollahs. A narco-state simply lacks the capacity to manage anything responsibly.

I am informed that this rumor has been circulating for the last three months by Edi Rama's oligarchs, who are telling their clients that Rama will bring Palestinians to buy apartments.

I don't believe what Rama says or what the media reports. But one thing is certain: Albania lacks the capacity to handle this. It is a narco-state with no rule of law, no proper governance, and no respect for the Constitution.
