Trump Speaks on America's No. 1 Security Threat / When Rama Welcomed Afghan Refugees with Yuri Kim to Earn Praise from Blinken

The United States has decided to suspend all immigration requests from Afghan nationals.

The decision comes after an Afghan citizen opened fire on two National Guard members in Washington, seriously injuring them.

The suspect had arrived in the U.S. in September 2021, following the Biden administration's catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Commenting on the attack, President Donald Trump said it proves that lax immigration policies are "the greatest national security threat our nation faces."

"No country can tolerate such a danger to its very survival," he said.

It is worth recalling that a few months ago, the Trump administration refused to accept thousands of Afghan citizens currently sheltered in Albania.

More than 3200 Afghans remain in Albania after Edi Rama volunteered to take them in following the chaotic withdrawal.

This was not an act of charity by Rama, but a move driven by strong political motives.

Then–Secretary of State Antony Blinken publicly praised Rama and thanked him through a phone call.

Later, Rama even received a medal from Hillary Clinton for this action.

Former U.S. Ambassador Yuri Kim went out late at night together with Rama to welcome the Afghan refugees

During the reception, also attended by Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka, Yuri Kim grabbed the plane's intercom phone and welcomed the Afghans herself.

Yuri Kim has since been dismissed from the State Department, while Edi Rama has continued to use the migrant issue as a way to gain legitimacy and international support.

He did the same with the refugee centers in Shëngjin. It is no surprise that the Afghans whose fate remains unknown are also based in Shëngjin.

Meanwhile, the money spent on them has not been publicly discussed to this day.
