Albanian Premier Edi Rama has used an aggressive language against the environmentalists that protected the values of antiquity against a construction project in Durrës and attacked the court that ruled for the suspension of works in the archaeological area.

“The charlatans that call themselves protectors of the environment will blush with embarrassment when the Veliera project is finished. It’s an intervention that transforms not only an area but also the image of an entire city”, Rama said today in Durrës.

“I feel sorry for has happened, it is the shame of those who orchestrated it and of those from the judiciary that took their side by blocking, obstructing, and involving themselves in a shameful incident”, Rama said, supporting the project of Mayor of Durrës Vangjush Dako.
