Former Secretary General of the Democratic Party Arben Ristan made a strong accusation against Chairman Lulzim Basha, saying he is a backstabber that has direct relations with Albanian Premier Edi Rama. Ristani sees no chance for the Democratic Party to win the elections as long as Basha remains its chairman.

“With Basha, who has direct relations with Rama and has corrupted the opposition, the Democratic Party will never come to power. It became clear in three consecutive legislatures. You know the popular perception. People fear he will take the party to a fourth defeat. He gives no faith neither hope”, Ristani told the Albanian television Ora News.
