The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) announced today that gas flows to Europe reached the full capacity of 10bcm a year for the first time. This is good news in a time when Europe is threatened by the energy crisis caused by the Russian war in Ukraine,

The gas passed to Europe from the connection hub of Kipoi in the Greek-Turkish border.

Luca Schieppati, the managing director of TAP, said this is a historic moment that will serve to diversify Europe’s gas supply.

TAP is an important strategic project that comes to Europe’s aid in the right time. The project was realized thanks to the strong lobbying and support of the Albanian government headed by Sali Berisha.

The good news of the gas flow capacity through TAP confirms the titanic and important work not only for Albania but for the entire West.
