Chairman of Zgjidhja Party Koço Kokëdhima has responded harshly to former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri, who accused Kokëdhima as an inspirer for the country’s cannabization.  

Kokëdhima, a former Socialist deputy, proposed a state-controlled legalization of cannabis for medical purposes. Responding to Tahiri’s accusations, he said the former minister must go behind bars as directly responsible for what happened with the drugs in Albania last year.

“(Premier) Rama said my idea was premature. But he didn’t find it premature, after getting rid of Lazarat’s drugs, where a police officer lost his life, to transform the whole Albania into a Lazarat”, Kokëdhima writes in his Facebook page. “This sinister plan never became public and it had on top of the pyramid Rama, Tahiri, police directors in the counties and the crime world which was promised protection and easiness to traffic the drugs in the country and abroad, in exchange of the 30% of profit”.

“Tahiri is not wrong when he says that the last government created a standard for cannabis. Yes, it was the standard of the Mafioso pyramid government-crime that hasn’t been seen anywhere else”.
