Berisha: February 20 to Be the Largest Peaceful Uprising in History, Awaited by Every Albanian and Democratic Nations Worldwide

Opposition leader Sali Berisha held a press conference in which he described February 20 as “the largest peaceful uprising in history,” to be followed by Albanians and democratic countries around the world.

He accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of doing everything possible to remain in power and shield himself from crimes he has committed. Berisha stated that Rama’s government and its ministers operate as a structured criminal organization.

He cited the Grand Ring Road tenders, energy trading transactions, and the Llogara Tunnel as evidence of what he described as criminal activity by the governing group. Berisha called on citizens to take their fate into their own hands and support the peaceful uprising on February 20.

Berisha’s statement:

“All of this is proof that Edi Rama is doing everything to stay in power and to protect himself from the monstrous crimes he has committed.

I guarantee Albanians that what has been said hundreds and hundreds of times—that he is the head of a criminal organization, is 100 percent true. That his ministers are members of this organization is 100 percent true.

Lubi Balluku could be accused not just as the head of one structured criminal group, but at least five such groups.

Tell me, you followed the Llogara Tunnel project, does this not, together with Berberi and the other members of the tender evaluation commission, constitute a structured criminal group? In any scenario, they are nothing but a structured criminal group.

Are the Grand Ring Road tenders not a structured criminal group? Are energy trading deals not a structured criminal group? I mention these, but there are many others.

Everything has functioned on the basis of criminal organizations.
