Asked by journalists during a press conference at the Democratic Party headquarters, opposition leader Sali Berisha said that “Rama no longer has legitimacy.” Speaking about the opposition’s approach, he added that “our strategy is a fight until his ouster.”

Anisa Kadesha: What will be the strategy of the opposition’s protest on February 10, and is the Democratic Party moving toward sustained protests?

Sali Berisha: The Democratic Party’s strategy is unequivocally a fight until the ouster of Edi Rama.

Edi Rama no longer has legitimacy. Among citizens, we see a significant expansion of understanding, and we are very encouraged and deeply grateful to them.

For a citizen to become angry with the government of their own country, there must be strong reasons. And citizens have understood that they have the strongest possible reasons.

The government has no legitimacy. It has turned elections into a farce.

Secondly, the government has stolen hundreds of millions and billions of euros and, rather than being held accountable, it obstructs justice.

These are two major factors that delegitimize any authority.

And Albanians are determined, as soon as possible and at any cost, to rid themselves of an unlawful government like the one in power today.
