The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, said at a press conference that the opposition is moving toward an “encampment on the boulevard” and that their protest is being watched by Europe and the world.

He said many citizens have urged him not to leave the boulevard without the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama, stressing that this course is unavoidable. Berisha sharply accused the government, describing “Rilindja” as a criminal organization, and cited specific names that he said should be brought before justice. According to him, decision-making and responsibility are directly linked to Prime Minister Rama, adding that the current situation is evidence of the state’s degradation.

Berisha emphasized that everything now lies in the hands of citizens and young people, expressing confidence that the protest will lead to the overthrow of what he calls a “narco-dictatorship” and the restoration of free elections.

Berisha’s remarks:

Hundreds of citizens write to me and tell me that we must not leave the boulevard without removing Edi Rama.

That is where we are heading.

Let us speak the truth.

We are heading there inevitably and with certainty.

That is why this moment must be the subject of broad discussion with citizens, our supporters, our members, and the opposition-minded public.

The gallery of Ergys Agasi is the ugliest gallery of the state. It will go down in history as the most horrific testimony of the degradation and total degeneration of the criminal organization called Rilindja.

This is solely because Agasi was Rama, for no other reason. Who was Agasi? He was Rama who killed, bang, bang, bang.

It was Rama who used police officers to carry out executions in the middle of public squares and at Tirana airport.

It was Rama who ordered that hostages be sent to Suel Çela to have their bones broken so they would withdraw from tenders.

It was Rama who ensured that he remains free today. Ergys Agasi issues orders just as before, exactly the same, absolutely.

He determines and makes decisions because he is Rama. Under normal circumstances, he should be in prison.

Instead, he is protected by a police official named Ilirjan Proda, a key representative of the cartels.

So, to avoid prolonging this further, everything is in the hands of the citizens.

Everything is in the hands of Albanian youth, students, young workers, and high school students. And I have great confidence.

All of Europe is awaiting our protest. The entire world is awaiting our protest.

The protests have been followed with the greatest sympathy and the highest appreciation.

Therefore, we will continue our mission, the mission to overthrow this narco-dictatorship and restore free elections for Albanians.
