Asked by journalists during a press conference, the leader of the Democratic Party (DP) also commented on Prime Minister Edi Rama’s visit to Israel. “Wherever Edi Rama sets foot, he goes as a fierce enemy of the Albanian nation,” he said.
Mariglen Kume: Mr. Berisha, from January 25 to January 27, Prime Minister Edi Rama paid an official visit to Israel. This visit comes at a time when, ahead of the May 11 elections, Prime Minister Rama made the closure of negotiations and accession to the EU his main promise, while the EU has recently been somewhat critical due to the conflict in Israel. Do you have a comment on this issue? And during your recent visit, was this matter discussed by international partners? Was the issue of the AKSHI file raised as a concern by international representatives?
Sali Berisha: The issue of the AKSHI file? Without a doubt, I presented it.
I tried to present to international partners the dimension that was of greatest interest to them—and that dimension was the threat posed by Edi Rama, together with AKSHI and the drug cartels.
Of course, I informed them that everything at AKSHI revolves around the Rama family, Linda, Armand, and Edi himself. I made this clear, but I also informed them of the real danger that Edi Rama’s Albania poses through the export of highly sensitive data, including NATO data, to criminal organizations and to NATO’s enemies.
Naturally, there was no way I would not raise this issue; that was the main purpose.
I raised it not only in group meetings, but also in the plenary hall, in both settings, emphasizing that there is responsibility.
Secondly, I will say this: wherever he sets foot, and wherever he goes, he goes as a fierce enemy of the Albanian nation.
Edi Rama, wherever he is, whether in Tirana, in Surrel, abroad, or within the country, is now a fierce enemy of the Albanian nation.
That is my definition.
Is it clear? It is clear.
On the other issues, I cannot say more, because this reflects the Democratic Party’s assessment of Edi Rama.
