The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has called for massive participation in the opposition protest set to take place today in Tirana.
In a post on the social network Facebook, Berisha wrote that 5:00 p.m. is “the hour of the opposition,” urging citizens to take part in an “unrestrained influx toward Tirana.” The call comes in the context of the announced protest in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, where the opposition has stated it will oppose government corruption and what it describes as the capture of the state.
The protest is expected to begin at 5:00 p.m., while organizers have called for participation from citizens traveling from across Albania.
