The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated on Facebook that investigative documents from SPAK show that the hacker had planned to message Prime Minister Edi Rama as soon as he accessed the prosecutors’ system, and that, according to Berisha, Rama’s phone number was saved in the hacker’s contacts.
“Shocking document: in the SPAK hacking case file, the hacker mentions that he would text Rama as soon as he entered the system. The prime minister’s number was in the hacker’s phone. This is not a rumor, it’s a fact!” Berisha wrote.
He emphasized that this information is based on official investigative documents, not hearsay. Berisha used the post to denounce alleged suspicious connections and call for transparency on the matter, sparking political debate over information security and potential links between state structures and individuals involved in cyberattacks.
Authorities have not yet issued an official response to these claims.
