Berisha: Ramaduro, like Maduro, has family members mired in drugs. Resign and never forget February 20

Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha accuses Prime Minister Edi Rama of having family members linked to drug trafficking, suppressing the opposition, and impoverishing Albanians, calling on him to resign and invoking ‘February 20’ as a symbolic moment of civic resistance against the government.

In a statement to the media, Berisha stressed that Albania is experiencing deep political and social problems which, he argued, make the country comparable to Venezuela in terms of drugs, political pluralism, and the mass exodus of citizens.

Excerpts from the address of PD leader Sali Berisha:

‘Dear citizens, regardless of Edi Rama’s claims that there is no need for the intervention of the Delta Force because, according to him, Albania is not Venezuela and does not have Venezuela’s oil, the truth is that in several respects Albania is a typical Venezuela.

It does not have the world’s oil reserves, but Ramaduro and Maduro are like two halves of the same dirty drop of water. Rama leads the most powerful cocaine cartels in Europe, the Çopja cartel, the Troplioni cartel, and the Çela cartel, primarily a heroin cartel. It has been established that, like Ramaduro, he arrests political opponents and uses institutions to suppress pluralism. Edi Rama, like Ramaduro, has family members mired in drugs, one has the wife involved, the other the brother, Olsi, documented.

Rama, like Ramaduro, has impoverished Albanians to an unbelievable degree. From being among the best-paid people in the region in 2013, they are today the worst-paid in the region. Ramaduro, like Maduro, drives citizens out of their own country. Forty percent of Albanians have left during Rama’s rule, compared with 20 percent in Venezuela.

So yes, the geography is completely different, the scale is different, and the oil reserves are different, but the similarities between Ramaduro and Maduro are identical, Siamese twins when it comes to drugs, democracy, repression, citizens, and the plundering of their lives. That is why I say once again: resign immediately. Resign, because they will remove you anyway, and never forget February 20, what Albanians know to do to false cults, to satanic cults. So, resign.’
