Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha said at a press conference that the opposition’s fight will continue without pause until its political mission is fully achieved, stressing that the removal of the current government is inevitable.

According to Berisha, Prime Minister Edi Rama is trying to shield himself by using parliamentary mandates as instruments of force, but decision-making is now in the hands of citizens. He described Rama as having been de facto dismissed in the eyes of both the domestic and international public, and called on citizens and opposition supporters to be prepared to escalate the political struggle, with the aim of forming a technocratic government, holding free elections, and bringing the opposition to power.

BERISHA: Therefore, our fight continues until victory, and we will win this battle.

Edi Rama believes he can use mandates like bayonets of crime to protect himself. He is gravely mistaken. Everything is now in the hands of the citizens. Last night, he was de facto dismissed from office. Before the entire world, he is nothing more than a gang leader. A wretched lawyer hiding behind Belinda Balluku, Ergys Agasi, and others in turn. Once again, I extend my deepest gratitude to all those young people, women and men, the elderly and pensioners, who left everything behind and filled the square. I call on them to be ready to escalate our struggle, our fight, until the mission is fulfilled. Our mission is the removal of this government, a technocratic government, free elections. The opposition will inevitably come to power.
