The Chairman of the Democratic Party has reiterated his call to take part in the protest on December 22.
“The Constitutional Court’s decision came from Edi Rama’s offices and shuts down every path for the fight against corruption! I invite citizens on December 22 to take their fate into their own hands,” the Democratic leader told journalists today at midday during a press conference at the Democratic Party headquarters.
Excerpts from Berisha’s statement
Berisha: The decision that came from Edi Rama’s offices, and that was signed by reckless and irresponsible judges, closes every path, every road, every possibility for the fight against corruption, for the legal protection of public assets and the taxes of Albanian citizens.
Edi Rama carried out the most unprecedented act in the history of a state to protect stolen money, shared together with Harpy Balluku in the Llogara tunnel, and not only there.
Any attempt to fight corruption by people with immunity is reduced to zero.
Never in its existence has Albania suffered such a heavy blow to the protection against the theft of Albanian citizens’ property, never.
From the founding of the Albanian state to today, the decision that came from Edi Rama’s offices and was certified by irresponsible and reckless judges of the Constitutional Court definitively destroys the rule of law and guarantees the open and public theft of the money and assets of Albanian citizens, the transformation of this theft, of these sums, into votes, and of votes into crime.
That report which I have denounced before you for years and years has now received the strongest shield from the narco-judiciary, from the narco-state, from Edi Rama, with the certification of his decision in court.
Therefore, the only hope, the only path, is for Albanian citizens to take their fate into their own hands, their vote, their future.
And this has only one way: protest, protest, and only protest.
December 22 is a day on which every Albanian, regardless of political beliefs, can show courage and determination in denouncing and exposing the public protection that Edi Rama gave to his own thefts and those of Harpy Balluku, in the effort to establish a technical government and hold the upcoming elections.
