Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha, in a Facebook post, reacted to comments made by Infrastructure Minister Belinda Balluku, who has been suspended from her role as deputy prime minister over the Llogara tunnel affair.
The video statement by Balluku, which Berisha shared, included accusations against individuals who had acted in “structured groups” at the expense of Albanian taxpayers: “Each of you who took part in this corrupt scheme has stepped into deep waters. You have burdened all taxpayers, and you will be held accountable, one by one.”
Berisha wrote: “When the country’s biggest thief, after Edi Rama, delivers a lecture on stealing!”
