Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha has been elected Vice President of CDI, the world’s largest union of center-right parties.
At the CDI Assembly held in São Paulo, Brasil, the organization elected its new Presidency and leadership, among them the leader of the Albanian opposition.
Also serving in the Presidency from Europe are Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Slovenia’s incoming Prime Minister Janez Janša, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.
Antonio Lopez-Isturiz White was elected Secretary General of CDI, while Andrés Pastrana was re-elected President.
CDI is composed of 115 center-right parties from Europe, North America, South America, and Asia. Its members lead several major countries around the world, including the United States.
