Edi Rama held a meeting today with residents of Administrative Unit No. 2 in Tirana, where he spoke about the city budget for Tirana and Albania. But one citizen described the gathering as “just like Uncle Enver’s meetings, down with communism.”

While reading comments from citizens on Facebook, Rama became irritated when he saw that a citizen had expressed this opinion and compared him to Enver Hoxha.

Rama couldn’t contain his anger and insulted the citizen, calling him “a complete idiot.”

“I’ve brought with me some comments from Facebook, and there’s someone here who writes: ‘Exactly like Uncle Enver’s meetings, down with communism.’ It’s clear that as long as we have people like this, communism will stay in power. A complete idiot. What am I supposed to say? These public hearings happen often in America too, where communism has never existed,” Rama said, among other things.
