Berisha: We are demanding this commission because Rama's name appears 13 times in the Washington file

The chairman of the Democratic Party of Albania, Sali Berisha, declared in Parliament that the opposition is demanding the establishment of a parliamentary inquiry commission, citing what he described as extensive evidence linking Prime Minister Edi Rama to former senior FBI official Charles McGonigal.

"We are calling for this commission because, in the court file in Washington, Edi Rama's name appears 13 times in 13 separate instances," Berisha emphasized.

He read excerpts from the American case file, claiming it states that "Rama is mentioned as the person who corrupted McGonigal," and that "the Washington judge says the man tasked with protecting the nation from corruption was himself corrupted by a foreign power." According to Berisha, the court documents also include concrete examples of Edi Rama's corruption of McGonigal.

"Your applause is nothing but collective hysteria.

But I tell the Albanian pople, we are asking for this commission because, in the Washington court file, Edi Rama's name is mentioned 13 times in 13 separate instances.

The file refers to Edi Rama as the person who corrupted McGonigal, and the Washington judge says that the man charged with protecting the nation from corruption was himself corrupted by foreign influence.

The Washington court file states that this individual was involved in mafia-style investigations, taking Tom Doshi and Durim Bami to Vienna on a special flight, accompanied by a minister.

It also says he intervened in granting an oil license to benefit a company in which Agron Neza, and possibly even McGonigal himself, had interests.

The file states that a secret service agent, a former adviser to Edi Rama, withdrew $225,000 from his office and handed it to him.

It further notes that, in 2020, the Washington judge ordered the recording of all correspondence between Edi Rama and his ministers in connection with the corruption of McGonigal.

The file claims McGonigal was involved in judicial reform issues and that he was even made an honorary citizen here and elsewhere, and so on.

So, are these supposed to be innocent actions?

If you spoke with your own mind, you would never say that. But you never speak with your own mind.

All of this is fact.

And the company that got the license was linked to Oleg Deripaska.
