Prime Minister Edi Rama continues to use every international stage for personal showmanship and cheap jokes, though hardly without intent, targeted at President Trump. Instead of representing Albania with dignity, Rama seems to be serving George Soros's agenda to discredit the U.S. president.
This time, the head of government appeared at the Paris Peace Forum, an event supported by French President Emmanuel Macron and one where George Soros's influence is prominently evident.
Rather than addressing serious regional issues, Rama chose once again to make ironic remarks about U.S. President Donald Trump, demonstrating his eagerness to stay in the spotlight, even at the expense of international relations.
During his speech, after a slip by the moderator who confused Azerbaijan with Armenia, Rama responded with a joke:
"You meant Azerbaijan–Albania, otherwise you'll anger your president, not me. He's tried for so long, but didn't succeed."
This was another coded jab at Donald Trump, delivered at a forum bearing Soros's imprint, a symbol of globalism and an open adversary of the American president.
Rama, who is frequently criticized for his ties with international left-leaning foundations, appears to have used this platform yet again for his usual political games, adding to his pattern of tasteless mockery.
