The Trump–Soros Clash/ Rama: I don't care! Soros Has Been, Is, and Will Remain My Friend

While in the United States the conflict between Donald Trump and the far-left billionaire and his son, George and Alex Soros, is a hot topic, since Trump accuses them of conspiracies and cooperation with criminal organizations, the billionaire’s puppet in Tirana, Edi Rama, has defended his friendship with his patron by declaring: “I don't care what Trump says. Soros has been, is, and will remain my friend.”

Rama made these statements on the TV show Opinion when asked by Blendi Fevziu about the lack of meetings in Washington or even a phone call from across the ocean.

Journalist: You have a deadlock in your relationship with the United States of America.

Rama: Deadlock? What deadlock?

Journalist: I haven’t seen you meet any senior officials… no phone call with the president, no meeting with JD Vance.

Rama: Why should I make a phone call with the President (Trump)…

Journalist: Meanwhile, you have a friendship with Trump’s son-in-law, but he has no executive role in the administration. What’s going on?

Rama: Nothing is going on. Our relations with the U.S. are at their best level.

Journalist: But I saw during the summer that…

Rama: I’ve been in this office for 12 years; I don’t need any more photos, nor phone calls… so I don’t ask for these at all.

Journalist: But meanwhile I saw a photo of you with Alex Soros and his wife during a dinner in Dhërmi.

Rama: He is my friend.

Journalist: But he has been attacked in recent weeks by President Donald Trump…

Rama: I don't care.

Journalist: Does your relationship with Soros, the fact that you were invited to his wedding, gave a speech there… affect your relations with the American administration? Because Americans also care about these things, it’s not just us.

Rama: I was here a few weeks ago with his daughter.

Journalist: With Trump’s daughter?

Rama: Yes… with the son-in-law too, with the family. But I don’t take photos to show who I’m with. I’ve been over that excitement for many years.

So what does this mean?! Over there they have their business… the rain does its own job (ironically), and we have ours.
