Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha has issued further warnings about the Tirana incinerator, claiming that its funds are being invested in towers by the Rama-Veliaj duo despite the fact that the latter, as mayor of Tirana, has been behind bars since February of this year.

Speaking at a press conference with journalists, the opposition leader stated that the head of the Special Prosecution Office, Altin Dumani, is not investigating the matter, instead choosing what Berisha described as a “graveyard silence.”

“I warn that any concealment or neglect of evidence regarding the €130 million will make those who try to cover it up just as responsible as the thieves themselves,” Berisha declared.

“I wanted to bring this up because in the digital archive there are 34 denunciations made by Perlat Çullhaj, the narco-commissioner implicated in all sorts of trafficking and other crimes.”

“A millionaire commissioner whom Edi Rama now trusts with the scientific analysis of evidence and facts in the lab.”

“A trafficker was there, Niko Brahimi, but now a more disgraceful version of the narco-officers has taken over that post, making any real fight against them entirely hopeless.”

“Evidence is falsified, tampered with, and protected.”

“Today, Altin Troplini announced that Veliaj is being investigated for other criminal offenses.”

“Dear citizens, digital citizens have informed us that witnesses in the Veliaj affair, let’s call it the ‘Nesti Angoni’ affair, have given shocking testimonies regarding the €130 million from the incinerator, which is public wealth and funding belonging to the Albanian people.”

“Digital citizens report that testimonies confirm the Tirana incinerator money has been invested in high-rise towers by Edi Rama and Erion Veliaj.”

“I guarantee citizens that this evidence will not disappear until every stolen penny tied to the Rama-Veliaj incinerator scheme is found, evidence for which Altin Troplini maintains a grave silence.”

“I reiterate: any concealment or neglect of the €130 million worth of testimonies will make those involved as guilty as the ones who stole it.”

“Of course, no one should expect Altin Troplini to pursue this case, as it involves Edi Rama’s name.”

“Anything connected to Edi Rama is buried and shut down by Altin Troplini.”

“But truth may delay, yet it never forgets.”

“In fact, the €130 million includes another €60 million related to landfills, bringing the total to €190 million.”

“Digital citizens report that there have been testimonies about the use of this stolen money for tower construction.”

“Clearly, this calls for a full and thorough investigation.”

“And with Altin Troplini in charge, such an investigation is impossible.”
