Edi Rama’s delusions are increasingly resembling those of Enver Hoxha, who attacked the Anglo-American threat wherever he could.
Speaking at the 4th International Conference on the Recovery of Ukraine, held this Thursday in Rome, Edi Rama, almost uniquely among the leaders of small nations, attacked Russia and other countries outside the European Union, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, that are doing their utmost to bring peace back to the region.
In his remarks, Rama was careful to emphasize that the only entity capable of bringing peace to Ukraine is Europe, but that Europe must not merely speak, it must also act quickly and produce a peace plan.
“No one has a magical formula, but talking about peace does not stop the war. If we truly want to help Ukraine and end this horrific war, we need a clear and coordinated peace plan,” Rama said.
The Albanian Prime Minister also stressed the importance of European unity, stating that no one outside the borders of the European Union should be allowed to dictate what peace is, implicitly referring to Donald Trump’s efforts to bring peace between Russia and Ukraine.
“We must not allow anyone outside the borders of democratic Europe to lecture us about peace. Ukraine is not the aggressor. It did not start this war that spills blood every day at the gates of our continent,” he said.
Rama’s dangerously anti-American remarks have reminded Albanians of Hoxha-era rhetoric about the threat of Anglo-American imperialism.
